Kenya

Mara's migrating herds of wildebeest, guests will enjoy a well rounded,

DAY
1: NAIROBI / MASAI MARA
09.30 hrs: Leave Nairobi for Masai Mara game Reserve. Picnic lunch en-route.
Game drive search of black-manned lions, elephants, leopards, cheetah,
buffaloes and other plains game en-route. Dinner and overnight at the
camp
DAY
2: MASAI MARA
06.30 hrs: After breakfast proceed for a full day game drive to Kenya's
most favored game reserve with miles of magnificent wilderness. Masai
Mara is the Africa of the imagination with endless reaches of acacia-dotted
grasslands studded with hazy hills big herds of zebra and wildebeest,
to the many prides of the mighty lion that rest and laze in the shade
and prolific bird life all this crowned by Masai people who live within
the reserve and uphold their cultural values and customs. Dinner and overnight
at the camp.
DAY
3: MASAI MARA
Full day at the Mara with a with a game drive from Sunrise and sundowner
greatest moments for game viewing in these mystic plains, a time where
the soft red hues of the sun will give your photographs the clarity of
the actual African savannah. Morning game viewing with a long drive to
the Mara river where you will be able to view Hippos and Crocodiles. After
lunch at the camp/lodge, take an afternoon drive in the Masai Hills with
optional activities for a dawn nature walk safari to experience the awakening
of Africa in Masai land.Dinner and overnight at the
Camp .
DAY
4: MASAI MARA/NAKURU
After breakfast depart for Nakuru arriving in good time to enter Lake
Nakuru park a shallow alkaline lake in the Rift Valley, renowned for
its spectacular flamingo population. Although Lake Nakuru is primarily
a bird sanctuary, there are a considerable number of animals to be encountered,
such as the Bohor Reedbuck, bushbuck, and the rare Rothschild giraffe
with high chances of finding the White and black Rhino. Dinner and overnight
at the camp.
DAY
5: NAKURU/SAMBURU
Drive north to Samburu where the climate is drier and the land is semi-desert.
Spend the next two days exploring the Samburu Game Reserve. Keep your
camera and binoculars ready, as the wildlife is plentiful. See the thin-striped
Grevys zebra, reticulated giraffe, blue-necked Somali ostrich and
Beisa Oryx, all species only found north of the equator. The long-necked
gerenuk, a graceful antelope, spends most of its time here in a bi-pedal
stance seeking succulent leaves. Later, relax at your camp on the banks
of the Ewaso Ngiro River deep in the reserve. Dinner and overnight at

DAY
6: SAMBURU
Full day spent in Samburu with early morning and afternoon game drives
in Samburu Game Reserve, which covers 40 square miles (104 square kilometers).Ololokwe
Table Mountain forms a dramatic backdrop to our game viewing .Samburu
is also home to the third of Kenya's giraffe species - the Reticulated
Giraffe. This is also our best chance to see the blue-legged Somali Ostrich,
the long-necked Gerenuk gazelle and the straight-horned Beisa Oryx antelope.
Dinner and overnight at the camp.
DAY
7: SAMBURU / MOUNT KENYA
08.00 hrs: After breakfast
depart for the Treetops arriving at the Outspan hotel in time for lunch.
Throughout the day and night, forest animals visit the waterhole
and saltlick, ensuring you plenty to see and photograph.
The
visits from the elephants and crocodiles
below the decks make nights here most memorable. After lunch you will be picked by the hotel vehicle
and transferred to the Treetops. At night you will be able to watch game
from the hotel verandah which overlooks a floodlit waterhole
DAY
8: MOUNT KENYA / AMBOSELI
After breakfast, drive from Nairobi south to Amboseli National Park, right
on the border with Tanzania. This park affords everyone's classic image
of East Africa - herds of great animals moving across the dusty plains
with the snow-capped peak of Kilimanjaro rising straight up in the background.
Mount Kilimanjaro is Africa's highest mountain at 19,340 feet (5,895 metre).
Although it is situated inside Tanzania, the best views of the mountain
are from Amboseli on the Kenyan side of the border. This afternoon we
enjoy a game drive in majestic Amboseli. Dinner and overnight at the
Amboseli Camp.
DAY
9: AMBOSELI
Full day spent in Amboseli National Park, famous for its wild game and
spectacular backdrop of Mt. Kilimanjaro. Here you will have the chance
to see the Big Five while enjoying the comforts of your game drive. The
day is comprised of two game drives, one in the morning and one in the
early evening. Your drivers keen eyes will come in handy while exploring
the countryside. Dinner and overnight at camp

10: AMBOSELI / TSAVO WEST
From the flat plains and swamps of Amboseli travel east to Tsavo West
National Park. Outside the park gates are the Shetani Lava Flows, "frozen"
rivers of molten black rock twisted in bizarre shapes. At just over 7,800
square miles (20,000 sq Km), Tsavo is Kenya's largest national park. The
park is home to a huge variety of animals and birds, especially around
the watering holes in this otherwise dry area. During the Fall these watering
holes are a stopover for hundreds of thousands of birds on their annual
migration south. The Mzima Springs are the source of the freshwater pools
much favored by Hippos and crocodiles. There is even a glass wall for
viewing the pools from under the water line. Wildlife which can be spotted
in this area includes lions, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas, jackals, giraffes,
zebras, buffalos, baboons and several species of antelope.. Dinner and
overnight at the camp.
DAY
11: TSAVO WEST / TSAVO EAST
From Tsavo drive south to the Taita Hills Game Sanctuary, a private game
reserve of 42,000 acres (17,000 hectares) of rolling savannah accented
by dramatic rocky outcrops and small plateaus. This is a favorite area
for lions. The watering holes attract large herds of elephants. Dinner
and overnight at the camp.
DAY
12: TSAVO EAST / NAIROBI
Morning game drive and later depart with picnic lunch enroute back to
Nairobi arriving in the afternoon.
