Safaris from Nairobi- Nairobi Excursions and short safaris in Kenya and Tanzania:

The Kenya Coast
The Coast comprises miles of pristine white beaches and sparkling blue waters of the Indian Ocean, and a number of islands; each with it's unique character and history. The Marine National Parks, worlds of silent enchantment, contain glorious coral gardens and vividly colorful marine life.
Mombasa is the largest and most popular Island on the Kenya Coast, with a major port and an international airport. The island is a mystical mixture of ancient and modern. It's old town combines with the New town to provide an intriguing potpourri of romanticism and practicality.
Shimba Hills National Park is only a few kilometers out of Mombasa, sandy, coconut- forested landscape where rare sable and roan antelope, elephants, buffalo, leopards, and Sykes are at home in this park.Malindi is a popular beach resort with Arab occupation from the 13th Century onwards. The 1980's brought in a lot of Italian investment with building their summer villas here, thus the recent Italian influence in the restaurants and shops.
Lamu Island is one of the earliest Arab settlements along the Coast and it has preserved its architecture and a tempo of the 18th Century by the absence of vehicles. Donkeys and Dhows are still the common mode of transport. Lamu craftsmen create ornate doors and Arab chests, which contribute to Lamu's unique identity.

KIWAYU ISLAND
Perched north of Lamu is this lovely and idyllic Island very far from the madding crowd. The clientele is the smart set who like the rustic look of the Kiwayu's few bandas but also like the unobstructive luxury they offer as well. Enjoy the proximity of nature in this northern Lamu archipelago. The "Baobabs of Kitangani" nestling between the enormous ageless baobabs, almost invisible from the beach create a dream for a couple expecting perfect setting and total privacy.
